Kingdom Wars

categories: projects

I came across a fellow by the name of Carlos Lage, he had started a game called kingdom wars, coding it in PHP and MySQL. I gave a few tips and pointers from what I had experienced from SimuNation, and before I knew it, I was deep into reprogramming his entire game. Now I am %50 of his team, the other %50 is him. Together we have created what you see today. However, I have been working on the new version solely and let me tell you, it is sick. I can't even begin to describe the caliber it will be. It has a map system, an dynamic economics system, a detailed crafting system, unit management. Mining, exploration, politics, wars. It is going to be sick. Hope I don't jinx myself, but I am gonna write a manual and everything... Programming games is not an easy task, especially when you have to attend school.

NonSense

categories: projects

NonSense is a my response to the notorious WebSense program which many organizations containing large numbers of workstations and personel use to block out sites which could possibly be inappropriate to the workplaces atmosphere, or hazerdous to the network. This program allows the user to access the so-called screened sites, give it a try. Well it happened, just like I was secretly hoping it would. WebSense has added NonSense to its list of sites to block. Ironic I know.

Lyrix Database

categories: projects

This was one of my own creations. Though still in the making, the proccess is comming along magnificently. The idea behind it was inspired from the ammount of unhelpfull, slow, and non-astheticaly pleasing lyric sites. My goal was to create a good looking, fast and reliable, ultra-dynamic lyrics database. Utilizing the power of MySQL and the flexibility of PHP I've created the wireframe for the site. I've added in CSS to bring out a more appealing look. You can give it a whirl, just login. User: test Pass: test In the future, you will have to sign up. The sign up feature works now, but as you can see, its rather pointless with the test account. Sign up if you wish, however your account may be deleted in one of the many processes of finishing the project.

Simunation

categories: projects

SimuNation is an inspired site from a poorly programmed Nation Management Simulation game called Nation States. It was written by a book writer who apparently has enough programming knowledge to write a working application, but lacks enough to create an entertaining game. Anyway, this project kinda failed when I realised that I had no one to help me on the programming part. Not of my friends had the knowledge for that. Although one in particular always had the enthusiasm to help me on this project, but to be honest, I can't do it without the programming, and I couldn't do the programming alone. Possibly when Kingdom Wars is finished, I'll convince my partner to take up this project. We shall see, we shall see...

Chillywinds

categories: projects

Chillywinds will not be maintained any longer due to the death of John Stewart, the focus of the website.

So this was probably my first real step into the web design world. I remember my first redesign of it. Hah, It was black purple and white. It was pretty good for my age, It even had rollovers, but CSS wasn't very big, and I was new to the whole deal, so I did the rollovers in javascript. pretty funny. Anyway, it's come a long way I would say, it's still table based, but I plan on changing that soon.
